hey monday already and what a week has gone befor.
big local news is the demise of Valleys Radio. and everyone except us here at BRfm thought that they were our rivals. we never had that opinion, because they were a different species the term chalk and cheese spring to mind. community radio is incredably interactive and this week has shown it.
more calls about the harmonica lesson, the second of which goes out on wed.6th of may. (yep day after tomozzo) tune in and get playing. ok so y'all ain't got a h'poon. phone the studio and we'll kit ya out.
sunday in blaenau gwent had everything from listeners and viewers (all over the country and the world) to a streaker in Asda's car park. the streak was reported by our own Sylvie who witnessed the entire affair. it was possibly the friends of the guy who took his clothes and threw him off the mini bus. some reference made to the film ''Free Willie''
more performers visit the vault and the documentary has bee shown to the tutor at the film school we look forward to the screening. an evening of Pam Tillis at the colessium in aberdare made my week. she was in the words of the young 'awesome' pity we haven't got more promoters with the bottle to bring these country stars to this area.

the pot of gold at the golden lion nantyglo keeps rising £960ish this week. and find some way to check out nantyglo rugby club some kinda draw there for over a grand.

we are going to make a 15 minute docu of Brfm. neat huh?
the international film school are here next week for two days and are pretty damb excited about it. we, on the other hand are slightly blaise is that how you spell baise?

here as they say'' we are again''
it is all good stuff at Brfm. we are going from strenff to strenff.
no that isn't welsh BUT the welsh connection is bounding forward. with a new bi-lingual prog.
'steddfod DWYFILADEG is launching on thursday and it's bi-monthly.
but the big stuff is to do with the internet t.v. ''what you haven't watched it yet'?????
go to the back of the class. it's amazing, interesting, sophisticated,LIVE and thats just the presenters. what have we done on it? welllllllllllll the whiskey river boys had us dancing in the studio whilst emails told us that in louisianna and misssisipi and, i suspect texas, they were cajun dancing too.
then on St. David's Day we taught the harpoon, no not moby dick style, Aidan Sheehan style 14 blowers and drawers got u tune in the first lesson cool huh. harmonica of course.
Mr Presley, or the closest thing y'all gonna git to him, was here LIVE on t.v. check out the front page and see the interview.
thc concert with RED ALERT was pretty cool too. the young Elvis was to be played by Darren H............. bad throat no singing,. and he came on stage and croaked his apologies to us. Doug Church left us wasted with an hour and forty of amazing elvis stuff.
Red Alert suffered a bit with Lee's sore throat(seems to plague them) and while they are, in their own right, 'simply Rock n' Roll'!!! as a backing band they are as good as it gets.
Mr. Church was well served by the boys and Mills & Boon, two young gal backin' singers.
volunteers still add themselves to the motley crew that entertain y'all for 16hrs a day. and this continues to be the 'coolest' place in town to work.
Bobby and Ellis are into the Quarters of the head to head competition. going great guys a big thumbs up.
late nights at Brfm now include some dead good dance muzik 12 til 2 ( in the night )

monday 14 th of march.

the week-end was really cool. a new show with brand new presenters and a great response. . ''awesome music great sounds''! well it's not my kinda stuff but there are plenty who luv it.
that was and will be Saturday nites @ 12 thru til 2. this Sat tho is the latest newman and cook show........ unadulterated, politically INcorrect opininated and thats just the presenters.
sunday saw the first ever harmonica lesson live on internet tv. from the studios at lakeside. T.v. is a bit more intense than radio, more costly more labour intensive and bloody incredably excitin'.
a big up to Aidan Sheehan of Whiskey River Boys for the instruction. freakin' marveliosa !!!
the ladies roon with sue just rolls right on with fans from all ovcer the world, all slightly weird and terminally fabulous. I luv 'em all. we got a call about the Miss B.Gwent girls who were all cool and groovy chicks. if only i was three or four years younger mmmmmmmm oops i left the 0 off.
are blogs to get stuff off one's chest or just allow egotists to ramble on about stuff?
who cares really. it's a bit of whats going on in a tiny part of the world shared with peeps who are from another tiny part ot this world. so do not bother to correct my spelling, grammer or argue with me . . just read and either enjoy or ignore! your choice. or better still get ya own blog and bore me back hahaha 8:50 tarra4now
